The Facts: The Falcons announced the release of Hester earlier today.

Diehards Line:The 33-year-old Hester was coming back from toe surgery in January, and only played five games last year. He hadn’t participated in any of the offseason work, and it was unclear what he’d be able to do during training camp. Hester has given no indication he's ready to retire and if healthy, he's still a dangerous return man. We'll see if he can generate any interest as such in coming weeks.
