The Facts: Turbin was near his collegiate stomping grounds at Utah State last week to host a football camp, but the trip didn't go all that smoothly. Turbin was pulled over after going through a stop sign in Logan on Friday night and the officer smelled marijuana coming from the car. A K-9 unit made the same determination and police captain Curtis Hooley said marijuana was indeed found in Turbin's vehicle.

Diehards Line: “The officer made a traffic stop and make contact with the driver, who was Robert Turbin,” Hooley said. “Upon contact, the officer immediately smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. As the process moved forward, Mr. Turbin was very cooperative with the officers. There was located inside the vehicle, in the center console by the driver, a marijuana cigarette, commonly referred to as a joint.” Turbin, who signed with the Colts in March, was charged with one count of possession or use of a controlled substance on Tuesday and is scheduled to be arraigned on July 26. The misdemeanor charge is punishable by up to six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.
