The Facts: Barnidge told reporters Wednesday that he's recovering well from sports hernia surgery and plans to be ready to go for training camp in late July.
Diehards Line:HC Hue Jackson had previously said Barnidge tried to play through the pain before the surgery, and Barnidge said the injury was a result of wear and tear, not one specific incident. Barnidge, 30, signed a four-year extension last December at the end of a career season, and with the Browns reshaping almost everything again he figures to again be a key part of the offense after leading the Browns with 79 receptions, 1,043 receiving yards and nine touchdowns last season. He never had more than 13 receptions in any of his previous seven seasons with the Browns and Panthers.
