The Facts: Spiller was back on the field during OTAs on Thursday after being shut down at the end of last season with a recurring knee injury.
Diehards Line:
Spiller sustained his knee injury in training camp and had a knee scope procedure which caused him to miss one game. However, Payton said his health was an issue all season and he was inactive at the end of the season to recover. "C.J.'s health and his movement skills look noticeably different," Payton said. "He worked his butt off in the offseason to get the strength back in that leg he had his injury. That's been real encouraging." Despite a disappointing 2015 season, the Saints fully expect Spiller to be an impact player in 2016. It sounds like he's off to a solid start.
