The Facts: The Giants held their rookie minicamp last weekend, but it wasn't the first taste of NFL life for all of the players involved. Daniels has spent time with the Seahawks and Texans in the last few years and took part in the camp as a tryout player. According to multiple reports, Daniels impressed the Giants enough to earn a spot on the 90-man roster and the longer look from the coaching staff that comes with it.
Diehards Line:
Daniels shuffled between quarterback and wide receiver while with the Seahawks in 2013 and last season, but was signed by the Texans off their practice squad to give them more quarterback depth late in the season. He completed one of the two passes he threw for a seven-yard gain and also ran six times for six yards. Eli Manning and Ryan Nassib were the only quarterbacks on the Giants roster last year. They have Daniels and undrafted rookie Josh Woodrum on hand as well at the moment.
