The Facts: The NFL's daily transaction report brings word the Browns have waived Ford a week after claiming him off of waivers following his departure from the Ravens.
Diehards Line:
Ford didn’t play any games for the Ravens last season as a shoulder injury put him out of commission shortly after they claimed him off of waivers from the Vikings. Ford last saw regular season action in 2014, when he caught 23 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown. Bouncing around the league as Ford has in the last year doesn’t do much to raise confidence that he’ll land a prominent role in the NFL in 2016, but the interest in his services after each dismissal means a spot on a 90-man roster can probably still come his way. The Browns have Gary Barnidge at the top of the tight end depth chart with E.J. Bibbs, Connor Hamlett and Randall Telfer in reserve.
