The Facts: Last week, PFT reported that Harvin "definitely" will be playing in 2016. At the time, Harvin "definitely" intended to play. A week later, the pendulum that is Harvin has swung back in the other direction. Peter Schrager of FOXSports reports that it's currently "unlikely" Harvin will play.
Diehards Line:
As one source with knowledge of the situation told PFT's Mike Florio, it all comes from Harvin’s habit of changing his mind. A week ago, he “definitely” intended to play. It’s entirely possible that his mindset has since changed. If so, it’s entirely possible that his mindset will change once again. ... Florio added that enough teams view Harvin as having enough gas in the tank to make them willing to talk if/when he decides to play — and if he signs a contract to that effect. Until he’s all in, however, there’s a chance Harvin will go back and forth and back and forth again, wanting to play before not wanting to play before wanting to play. The risk for any team that signs Harvin will be that he changes his mind after putting pen to paper.
