The Facts: During an appearance on KFAN Radio this morning, Jennings lobbied for a return to Minnesota. "I left (GM) Rick (Spielman) a voicemail," Jennings said. "I told [them], I'm waiting on you guys. I miss being [in Minnesota]. You appreciate something more when it's taken away from you."
Diehards Line:
Like with many professional athletes nearing the end of their careers, Jennings is looking for a job. After spending a brief period of time in Minnesota with the Vikings, Jennings spent one season in Miami with the Dolphins, but most of it was spent on the sidelines as Miami appeared to be going in a different direction. Jennings started 5 games for the Dolphins last season catching 19 passes for 208 yards and 1 TD. Now, already one month into the free agency period Jennings remains a free agent. While Jennings may be past his prime on the field, he still claims that a large role exists for players like him in the NFL and specifically with the Vikings. “I know what Teddy (Bridgewater) missed,” Jennings explained. “Sometimes you take for granted the veteran guys in the locker room." We'll see if the Vikings are listening.
