The Facts:
Thomas, the Dolphins' 2011 second-round draft pick, has agreed to re-sign with the team.
Diehards Line:Thomas didn’t play at all in the NFL last regular season after signing with the Bears but getting cut at the end of the preseason. Miami, where he played from 2011 to 2014, is the only team he’s played for in a regular-season game. In his four seasons with the Dolphins, Thomas had 409 carries for 1,480 yards and 10 touchdowns. Now, as Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald notes, Thomas is now the most accomplished back on the roster. While they signed free agent Isaiah Pead earlier today, Thomas appears to be No. 2 on the depth chart behind last year’s fifth-round pick, Jay Ajayi.
