The Facts: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles and Randle have agreed to terms on a one-year contract. Randle's agent, Vincent Taylor, says the deal is worth more than $3 million with $500K guaranteed.
Diehards Line:
Being just 24 and with some track record of success, the move makes sense. We'll remind you, however, that Randle was benched twice in 2014. Those were for constantly being late to meetings. In addition, the Giants haven't been able to get the most out of Randle in his four years with the team and they've seen firsthand the explosion sapped out of him this past season after experiencing knee troubles in training camp. Meanwhile, Eagles HC Doug Pederson told reporters earlier today that Nelson Agholor remains a starter and that Jordan Matthews, who worked primarily out of the slot under Chip Kelly, would move outside in the team's new scheme. We'll see where that leaves Randle in coming days.
