The Facts: Cameron's contract has been restructured in Miami, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Diehards Line:
He was scheduled to count $9.5 million against the salary cap, but now he's staying with the Dolphins with a lower price tag. Alex Marvez of FOXSports reports (via Profootballtalk.com) that Cameron will now be paid $6 million and that no extra years were added to the deal to further spread out the cap hit. Cameron caught 35 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns last season and the team will be looking for more in Adam Gase’s first season as head coach.
