The Facts: Punter Shane Lechler and Novak re-signed with the Texans today.
Diehards Line:
Lechler, who played the past three seasons with the Texans after spending his first 16 years with Oakland, is the NFL's career leader with a 47.5-yard gross average. Novak, signed as a free agent in late September when Randy Bullock was placed on waivers, connected on 29-of-31 extra points and 18-of-21 field goals. Novak, who turns 35 in August, didn't miss a field goal inside the 50-yard line last season. He also did a decent job of getting his kickoffs into the end zone.
