The Facts: Winslow says he's ready to return to the league -- three years after he stepped away from the game.
Diehards Line:
The 32-year-old ex-Pro Bowler has been focused on cycling since he left the league in 2013 -- and previously told TMZ Sports he was training like a maniac in the hopes of turning pro. But Winslow clearly misses the gridiron ... and tweeted, "I'm putting my life's work into this comeback. #LoveDaGame #NFL."
According to TMZ, a rep for Winslow confirmed the comeback is in full swing. As Profootballtalk.com notes, Winslow showed he had plenty of talent early in his career with the Browns and remained effective with the Buccaneers, but injuries and off-field issues helped slow him down quickly before he faded off the radar. He’ll turn 33 over the summer, which adds to the reasons why a Winslow comeback feels like a long shot.
