The Facts: The Patriots have signed Ball to their practice squad, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.
Diehards Line:
The Patriots had a locker for Ball Tuesday. Adding him to the running back room makes sense because starting running back LeGarrette Blount suffered a hip injury during last week’s win in Houston. Blount’s injury left James White and Brandon Bolden as the team’s only backs to finish that game. If Blount is out for extended time, Ball could be promoted to the active roster. A second-round pick of the Broncos in 2013, Ball was released in the preseason. He had one touchdown run last season.
