The Facts: The Giants placed long snapper Zak DeOssie and Donnell on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Diehards Line: DeOssie has never missed a game since being drafted in 2007 and had played in 140 consecutive games. He suffered a wrist injury last Sunday and becomes the second of the three Giants’ season-long captains to be placed on injured reserve. Linebacker Jon Beason was placed on injured reserve last month. Donnell has missed the last four games with a neck injury. Both he and coach Tom Coughlin had hinted that he probably would not be able to return this season. Will Tye will continue to serve as the starter.
