The Facts: Hasselbeck left last night's game against the Steelers with shoulder and neck injuries and said after the game that he initially got hurt in the first quarter before things got worse on a third quarter hit that brought the medical staff onto the field. "I did get X-rays and I'm in a little bit of pain," Hasselbeck said. "I got hit on the top of the head and kind of just got my head compressed into my neck."
Diehards Line:
Hasselbeck said it was too soon to say whether he will make his fifth start of the season against Jacksonville, but that he’s hopeful he’ll be good to go. If Hasselbeck can’t play, the Colts could be forced to turn to Charlie Whitehurst. Owner Jim Irsay said before the game that the Colts are targeting Week 15 for Andrew Luck’s return from his kidney and abdominal injuries, so this week might be too soon for him although nothing has expressly been ruled out at this point.
