The Facts: The Seahawks are expected to activate Richardson off the PUP list Monday.
Diehards Line:Richardson tweeted earlier today that he had been cleared, presumably to return to practice, as he has been on the Physically Unable to Perform list since the season began while recovering from an ACL injury suffered in the divisional playoff game over Carolina in January. That’s not a surprise as the team had considered bringing Richardson off the PUP list last week but decided not to since the team had just three practice days — all of which were light — in between the game last Sunday against Carolina and then the game Thursday night at San Francisco. The Seahawks will have until Nov. 16 to place him on the 53-man roster or then return him to IR. What may be a likely scenario is Richardson getting this week to practice, and then with the Seahawks having a bye Nov. 8, possibly another week and then being activated before the Nov. 15 game against Arizona. But anything is possible. He could be activated as late as Saturday and play against the Cowboys on Sunday. Richardson was the team’s first pick, in the second round, of the 2014 draft and had 29 catches for 271 yards, including 10 for 112 in the last two games, last season.
