The Facts: According to ESPN's Adam Teicher, the Chiefs are bringing in Tate for a workout on Tuesday.
Diehards Line:Tate has played for Texans, Browns and Vikings. The Chiefs are looking for a running back help after losing Jamaal Charles to what's believed to be a torn ACL. Tate was a strong backup to Arian Foster in Houston, but was not able to keep a job for long after the Browns signed him to be a bell cow back last year. As Profootballtalk.com reminded readers, after he was injured, replaced by rookies and subsequently cut, Tate bounced around a bit, filling in with the Vikings and Pittsburgh last year. He tried out for the Lions and Cowboys this offseason but hasn’t found work. Now he'll look for a spot behind Charcandrick West and Knile Davis.
