The Facts: With Rex Ryan boasting about how much the Buffalo Bills plan to run the ball in 2015, his tight ends better get ready to block, a lot. So far, according to the coach, the group led by Clay, Chris Gragg, rookie Nick O'Leary and Matthew Mulligan isn't performing spectacularly in the blocking department. To improve in the blocking, Ryan toyed with defensive tackle Kyle Williams as a tight end for a few snaps Thursday.
Diehards Line:
"The tight ends, you know, sometimes can be little babies," Ryan joked after practice. "They're all upset because ... 'Ah, well you're putting Kyle in there.' Well, 'cause he can block somebody! So that's probably the real reason. ..." There have been reports from Bills camp that Clay -- who the team signed to a five-year, $38 million deal this offseason -- has been mostly invisible. It's something we'll all want to continue watching closely before making an investment in the former Dolphin.
