The Facts: Sankey has been the team's most impressive running back so far in training camp, and I thought he had a really good day on Thursday. Sankey busted through the line on several nice runs, and into the secondary.
Diehards Line:
This according to TitansOnline staffer Jim Wyatt, who notes that Sankey, a second round pick last season, has put on roughly 6-7 pound since last year. Wyatt believes the extra weight should make him a stronger and more durable runner this fall. He's shown better instincts in camp this summer as well. Indeed, Wyatt's views confirm those of others, including Associated Press sports writer Teresa M. Walker, who told listeners during a recent appearance with the FootballDiehards on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio that Sankey appears to be locked in as the Week 1 starter at tailback. David Cobb will have something to say about that, but at this point Sankey is doing a solid job of fending off the newcomer.
