The Facts: Tamme, who’s been one the early stars of training camp, believes the Falcons can have a “dynamic” offense in 2015. “I think we can have an offense that can be pretty dynamic, but it’s going to take a lot of work,” said Tamme, who spent most of his career with Peyton Manning in Indianapolis and Denver before signing with the Falcons this offseason, on Sunday. “Just kind of one day at a time. Today was the first day with the pads. We just have to keep building and building.”
Diehards Line:
Tamme is a big fan of Matt Ryan. “He’s a good quarterback,” Tamme said. “He does everything the right way. One of the main things that I like the most is that he wants to lead at the quarterback position.” And Ryan needs a TE. Tamme had 86 receptions over a three-year run with the Broncos. But he caught just 14 passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns in 2014 as he lost playing time to Julius Thomas. As NFL.com notes, Tamme provides a veteran safety valve for Ryan and is an upgrade on young, underachieving Levine Toilolo from a reliability standpoint.
