The Facts: Freeman recently worked out with the New York Jets, according to Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman, who was told that the quarterback performed well.
Diehards Line:Per the report, several additional teams are taking a hard look at the 27-year-old passer, who vanished off the scene last year following a disastrous stint with the Vikings in 2013. Freeman's NFL career rests on rocky soil, but the former first-round pick offers good size -- he's 6-6, 240 pounds -- with plus athleticism. It's just everything else that's been the problem. Freeman was signed last April by the Giants only to be released six weeks later. His commitment to the game has been questioned. Freeman threw 27 touchdowns to just 17 picks for Tampa Bay in 2012, but he was cut by the Bucs in 2013, only to reappear with the Vikings weeks later for one start -- his last in the NFL. We'll watch for more, but nobody should have expectations of a re-emergence.
