The Facts: Following up on a previous item. ... According to Houston Chronicle staffer John McClain, the Texans and Shorts have agreed on a two year deal that will bring the wideout to Houston.
Diehards Line:Shorts spent the last four seasons with Houston's divisional rival Jacksonville, where he was effective when healthy. Shorts dealt with hamstring issues most of last season and missed three games on his way to 53 catches for 557 yards and one touchdown. He was more productive during the 2012 and 2013 seasons and filled a variety of roles in the passing game for Jacksonville during his four years with the team. As McClain notes, the 6-foot, 202-pounder can play inside or outside. Assume he'll move in as the team's WR2 alongside DeAndre Hopkins. The team is also likely to add receiving help early in this year's NFL Draft.
