The Facts: Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports that the Seahawks have elected not to tender Lockette a contract as a restricted free agent, which means he'll be free to sign anywhere he wants on Tuesday afternoon.
Diehards Line:The Seahawks' chances of winning the Super Bowl came to an end when Patriots CB Malcolm Butler got in front of Lockette to intercept Russell Wilson's pass at the goal line. Lockette had three catches for 59 yards in the Super Bowl before the fateful moment in the fourth quarter and added three others in the playoffs after catching 11 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season. Condotta reports that the Seahawks will also pass on tendering wide receiver Bryan Walters. Both could return, but the Seahawks' decision means they don't consider their return to be a top priority of the offseason.
