The Facts: The Eagles have discussed Jackson, according to another source familiar with some of the Eagles' free-agency plan.
Diehards Line:
Jackson, 31, has backed up Russell Wilson in Seattle for the past two seasons, throwing just 14 passes. As CSNPhilly.com's Geoff Mosher notes, Jackson is "not a spring chicken," but he has always been a gifted athlete and would add the running element that HC Chip Kelly prefers from his quarterbacks. His career accuracy - a hair under 60 percent - is better than Mark Sanchez's was before Sanchez signed with the Eagles last year, and Jackson has 644 career rushing yards, averaging 4.0 yards per run. The team is also considering bringing Sanchez back.
