The Facts: Wayne isn't ready to talk about his future -- publicly, at least -- quite yet. He said during the season that he was undecided on whether he would return for his 15th NFL season. "I haven't thought about that. We just lost," Wayne said Sunday.
Diehards Line:
Wayne was targeted twice in Sunday's AFC Championship loss at New England. He did not have a catch for the second straight game. His season changed when he injured his elbow against Cincinnati on Oct. 19, missed the following game and didn't find a rhythm after that. It was revealed late in the season that Wayne was playing with torn triceps. He said he plans to have offseason surgery. "Absolutely," said Wayne, who is about to become a free agent. "I don’t have a date set yet, but it's definitely on the calendar somewhere. At the end of the year, I felt the best I felt all year. Felt really good, felt really good tonight. I'm going to do what I'm told to do. If it's blocking, if it's to run around, I'm going to do those things. Just wait for my opportunity." With Dante Moncrief seemingly ready to make a push for the starting spot opposite T.Y. Hilton, Wayne might have to take a reduced role if he returns to Indy (which, his 2014 fantasy owners might suggest, he already has).
