The Facts: At a time when uncertainty has enveloped plenty of recognizable names with the Denver Broncos, let’s add another to the list: Welker. Asked Monday if he wants to return to the Broncos in 2015, Welker was blunt: “I don’t know,” he said with a shrug, via Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post. “There’s a lot of things I need to figure out.”

Diehards Line:As PFT's Mike Florio suggests, one thing Welker needs to figure out is whether he wants to keep playing for a team that has made him the fourth option at best in the passing game. His 49 catches for 464 yards and two touchdown in 14 games (with nine starts) represent Welker’s worst numbers since 2005, his second NFL season. Welker is due to become a free agent in March, along with WR Demaryius Thomas and TE Julius Thomas even as his concussion history becomes a greater concern and his skills begin to diminish. So beyond the Thomases and Peyton Manning and various members of the coaching staff (including HC John Fox), Welker could be one of the recent Denver mainstays who ends up not staying with the team two months from now.
