The Facts: Field Yates of ESPN.com reports the Patriots have extended the contract of Bolden. His deal will now run through the 2016 season and is set to pay him $3.2 million with $300,000 in guaranteed money.
Diehards Line:
Bolden joined the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and has run the ball 139 times for 634 yards and six touchdowns for the team over the last three seasons. He’s also been a core member of their special teams units, recording 12 tackles in that role since joining the team. The team also extended CB Patrick Chung. ... With Chung and Bolden dealt with, the Patriots can move on to other prospective free agents like Darrelle Revis, Devin McCourty and Stephen Gostkowski once the time comes to turn attention to those matters at the end of the season.
