The Facts: Ball will not require surgery to repair the strained groin he suffered during a non-contact play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. However, Ball is expected to be sidelined a couple weeks, according to two NFL sources. Ball underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam Monday.
Diehards Line:
As Post staffer Mike Klis notes, with Ball sidelined, the Broncos' running back stable is expected to be led by Ronnie Hillman with C.J. Anderson and rookie Juwan Thompson as his backups. Hillman ran well in the second half Sunday, gaining 65 yards on 14 carries. Anderson was a healthy scratch. We'll see if that changes going forward.
