The Facts: Three Baltimore Ravens players were allegedly tossed from Ocean City, Maryland beachclub Seacrets over the Memorial Day weekend for being too inebriated, according to TMZ Sports. Wide receiver Jacoby Jones, running back Bernard Pierce and cornerback Jimmy Smith are reportedly seen in the shaky cell phone footage being escorted off the club’s premises for not being able to “maintain their composure,” TMZ says.
Diehards Line:
It’s worth noting, the report cites sources saying all three were “cooperative and compliant” while being ushered to the parking lot, and are all welcomed back at a later date. Still, this hasn’t been a good media week for the normally well-behaved Ravens organization. Last Friday, running back Ray Rice came under scrutiny for a less than stellar public apology in which he admitted he “failed miserably” with his Feb. 15 actions which led to him being arrested after allegedly striking then-fiancee Janay Palmer inside an Atlantic City, New Jersey elevator. Also over the weekend, Ravens rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro was arrested in his hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia on charges of destruction of property and public drunkenness. We'll follow up as needed.
