The Facts: Following up on the ongoing story. ... Lattimore, an intriguing prospect looking to rebound from a season on the sideline, will not have a heavy workload this weekend in the team's three-day rookie mini-camp. Lattimore is "working through something," a popular term HC Jim Harbaugh uses when discussing injuries. "Somewhat," the coach said. "He's working through something. It's not the knee, it's something else he's working through and we're going to be going through the speed that the doctors allow, what his body allows him to go."
Diehards Line:
Harbaugh said Lattimore "looked good" in the days he was able to go full-speed in the team's "Football School" workouts. Lattimore told 49ers.com that he hasn't experienced any soreness in his knee this offseason. When Lattimore's name was brought up to Harbaugh again, the coach said, "Again, he's improved to where he was the last time we saw him in those practices in the end of the season. Yes, he's quick and faster. ..." We'll see. Given the selection of Carlos Hyde in this month's NFL Draft, fantasy football owners shouldn't be overly enthusiastic about Lattimore's prospects over the long haul.
