The Facts: The Eagles released wide Benn Friday.
Diehards Line:
The 25-year-old was originally acquired via trade by the Eagles in the 2013 offseason. He suffered a torn ACL during training camp last summer. In his career, the former second-round draft pick has 59 catches for 862 yards and five touchdowns in 37 games played. Despite previously releasing DeSean Jackson and Jason Avant, the Eagles apparently felt comfortable enough with Jeremy Maclin, Riley Cooper and rookie Jordan Matthews as their top three to move past Benn as well.
