The Facts: Miller has agreed to restructure his contract, likely assuring he stays with the team through 2015 while also allowing the Seahawks some salary cap relief, a league source has confirmed to the Times. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that the new deal calls for Miller to make $3 million each year with incentives that could push it to $4 million.
Diehards Line:
The expectation around the team had been that Miller would restructure his deal, to help solidify the tight end corps heading into the 2014 season. Seattle re-signed free agent Anthony McCoy earlier this week and Luke Willson, a rookie in 2013, will also return. The team also signed free agent Travis Beckum. Seattle brought in Green Bay free agent Jermichael Finley for a visit earlier this week. According to Times staffer Bob Condotta, restructuring Miller doesn’t rule out that the Seahawks would still pursue Finley since the Miller restructure has been in the works for a while.
