It was announced he left with a shoulder injury. With Cribbs out, the Jets used Antonio Cromartie to return kickoffs, and Kyle Wilson for punts. Cromartie averaged 31.5 yards per return, but using him going forward is not ideal since he plays an important position and returning kicks exposes him to more hits. Of all the active players that have returned kicks for the Jets this year, Jeremy Kerley, who is currently sidelined with an elbow injury, is the only realistic choice of the group to possibly take over as the returner.
