The Facts: The Lions and Schilens agreed to terms on a new one-year contract Tuesday after the five-year veteran worked out for the team.

Diehards Line:Schilens could provide a big body (6-4, 225) on the outside opposite Calvin Johnson. The Lions have been on the lookout for an outside receiver all offseason. Schilens will join Johnson, Ryan Broyles and Nate Burleson in the rotation of pass catchers heading into the start of training camp on Friday.
