The Facts: ESPNChicago.com reports that Hanie passed his physical and has officially signed a veteran minimum deal with Ravens.

Diehards Line: As NFL.com noted, Hanie spent last season as the third-string quarterback for the Denver Broncos, inactive most weeks behind Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler. The three-year veteran saw his most extensive action in 2011, when he replaced an injured Jay Cutler and struggled badly in four starts, all losses. The Ravens obviously must see something in Hanie, who will provide Tyrod Taylor with some competition as Baltimore's primary backup.
