The Facts: Redman, thrust into the spotlight with Rashard Mendenhall sidelined with a torn ACL that’s unlikely to mend before the regular-season opener in Denver, is itching to prove he can carry the load for a remodeled offense. “Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve been doubted by everybody -- except the players and coaches,” Redman said. “They understand the type of player I am, and it’s why they’ve kept me around. They see something in me, so I never doubt myself. “I’m ready to get out there. Hopefully, I’ll surprise everybody.”
Diehards Line:According to Tribune Review staffer Redman is confident he’s both durable and good enough to spearhead a ground game that sputtered for much of this past season. And he might well have to. The Steelers are not counting on Mendenhall being able to play in 2012. All that being the case, Redman, who rushed for 213 yards in the final two games last season, not only appears to be ready to handle an increased workload, he seems to demand it. We see him as a Fantasy RB2 with RB1 potential depending on Mendenhall's health.
