The Facts: Following up on an ongoing story. ... While he may not be mentioned as often as Kyle Orton or Kevin Kolb, Bulger has been thrown into the pool of potential QBs the Cardinals may be looking to acquire for the 2011 season. Just when the Bulger rumors began to heat up, ESPN's John Clayton said that Bulger was content to be a backup. Understandably, this became a huge red flag for Cardinals fans who questioned why the team would want someone who seemingly lack a desire to be a starting quarterback.
Diehards Line:However, former Cardinals QB Kurt Warner had a different take on the situation and explained why Bulger's mentality may be misunderstood by Clayton and others. "The one thing that I always appreciated about Marc was that football wasn't everything," Warner said. "For too many guys it's all about winning or losing. It's all about starting. It's all about how much money you can make, and that was never Marc Bulger. ..." Warner went on to stress, however, that Bulger is not only capable of playing productively as a starter, his former teammate is also a winner. "He could play and he could win." But Bulger is no Kolb. Fantasy Football owners should expect the former to be the QB targeted by Arizona once the lockout is over.
