Diehards Line:As Times staffer Danny O'Neil notes, this would mark the third procedure on the knee Branch injured in the playoff loss at Green Bay. He also underwent an arthroscopic procedure last offseason. Worth noting: Pro Football Weekly suggested earlier this week, that Branch might have been given a new lease on life under new HC Pete Carroll. A source told PFW: "Pete really seems to like Deion and thinks he could fit in well with the offense he has in mind. ..." He'll only do it, of course, if healthy. His progress will be worth watching.
