Scheffler will sign his $1.176 million tender today with the understanding the Broncos need to control his rights before they can trade him. According to Post staffer Mike Klis, the Broncos hope to get a third-round pick in return for Scheffler, whose 13.7 yards per catch tops all tight ends since he came into the league in 2006.
