The Facts: The agent for Edgerrin James says the league’s leading active rusher has signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks. Earlier Tuesday night, veteran RB T.J. Duckett told the Associated Press he had been waived by Seattle to clear roster space.
Diehards Line:“It’s official! Congrats to Edgerrin James on signing a 1 year deal with the Seahawks,” was the message posted on the Twitter page of agent Drew Rosenhaus late Tuesday. AP sports writer Gregg Bell reports that a Seahawks spokesman did not immediately confirm Rosenhaus’ announcement -- but it's safe to assume the deal is done. Rosenhaus was inside team headquarters into Tuesday afternoon but declined to comment at that time. It would appear he was waiting until the ink dried.
