The Facts: The Miami Dolphins have given up on their experiment with Wilford at tight end -- or anywhere else. Wilford's contract was terminated Monday.
Diehards Line:Wilford, Miami's biggest free-agent bust since the Bill Parcells regime took over, moved from receiver to tight end this year. He signed a four-year, $13 million contract last season with the Dolphins in a frenzy of moves at the start of free agency. However, he never fit into the Dolphins offense. He played in only seven games and caught three passes for 25 yards.
