The Facts: Jets RB Thomas Jones is in the house this morning. Fellow running mate Leon Washington is not. Both are unhappy with their contracts and were skipping the team's voluntary workouts.
Diehards Line:Last week, Jones' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said on his Twitter account that Jones would show up Wednesday and he has. Jones, however, didn't get the new contract he sought as the Jets stood firm on not reworking his four-year, $20 million deal in which he collected $13.1 million in the first two years. As Star-Ledger staffer Dave Hutchinson reminds readers, the Jets made it clear from the start they had no intention of renegotiating his deal, and then that traded up in the third-round to draft his heir apparent, Iowa running back Shonn Green.
