The Facts: According to ESPNews, Favre to Vikings is still alive! As first reported on the station's Twitter feed (and now being broadcast via the network's "Breaking News" ticker), X-rays of the QB's shoulder have been sent to Vikings officials, who will evaluate the health of his throwing arm. If there are no major problems, "they could still get him."
Diehards Line:Of course they could still get him. ... As noted in our Favre-Watch 2009 Over... At This Time piece published last night, nobody truly believes Favre-Watch 2009 is over. It might be quiet for a few days -- perhaps even a month. But anybody who really thinks Brett Favre has decided he absolutely doesn't want to play -- and play for the Vikings -- doesn't have a firm grasp of this situation. As SI.com insider Peter King explained last week: Favre is a man of emotion not his word. Or as ESPN's Trent Dilfer will undoubtedly tell you, when it comes to Favre, "NO" doesn't really mean no. ... Stay tuned. The misery continues.
