The Facts: The Rams have added Carter to their roster, signing him to a one-year contract after he participated in this past weekend’s minicamp on a tryout basis.
Diehards Line:The 6-foot, 187-pound Carter has six years of NFL experience, five with the New York Giants and one with Cleveland. He was cut last August by Houston and sat out the rest of the season. Carter, 29, has 80 career receptions for 1,084 yards and four touchdowns. The Rams -- with Donny Avery, Keenan Burton and Laurent Robinson as their likely top 3 -- don't have much overall experience on the outside.
