The Facts: After kicking the tires on veteran wideout Ashley Lelie, the Steelers apparently have opted to go in a different direction, inking McDonald, according to WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh.
Diehards Line:McDonald spent the last two seasons with the Lions after starting his career playing four years in St. Louis. His best season came in 2007, with 949 receiving yards and six touchdowns as part of Mike Martz’s pass-happy offense. As PFT's Mike Florio suggests, McDonald likely will compete with Limas Sweed and Mike Wallace for the Steelers' third receiver spot vacated when Nate Washington signed with the Titans.
