The Facts: Williams, who spent the last five years with the Jaguars, was arrested in Houston early Friday morning. Police records show Williams was arrested at 1:59am. He has been charged with DWI and possession of .97 grams of marijuana, both class B misdemeanors.
Diehards Line:
That's not going to help the previously-troubled wideout garner interest on the free-market in coming days. Williams was sentenced to community service in early 2006 after being caught with a small amount of marijuana in his car. Reporting at the time suggested Williams would be ordered into the drug treatment program for violation of the league's behavior clause that "includes but is not limited to an arrest related to an alleged misuse of substances of abuse." It's safe to assume the league will take an interest this time, too. ... In his five seasons as a Jag, Williams caught 189 passes for 2322 yards and 18 touchdowns.
