The Facts: The depleted Seattle receiving corps took another hit Friday night when Obomanu broke his clavicle early in Seattle's 23-16 preseason victory over the Raiders. "That's a tough one, certainly," HC Mike Holmgren said. "I feel bad for him. He was very much in our plans." Asked if Obomanu may be placed on injured reserve, Holmgren said, "It's a possibility."
Diehards Line:Obomanu was the most experienced of a young group of Seattle receivers being called upon to pick up for the absence of Deion Branch and Bobby Engram. Branch is still recovering from major knee surgery. Engram broke a bone in his shoulder in Seattle's first preseason game in Minnesota and could be out into October. Should Obomanu be placed on injured reserve, the move would open an additional roster spot for the likes of rookie Michael Bumpus or Logan Payne, both of whom appeared to be borderline to make the 53-man roster before Obomanu's injury.
