Seahawks Sign Baldwin To A Four-Year Extension
With one year remaining on his contract and coming off a season that saw him tied for the league lead for receiving touchdowns, it's no surprise the Seahawks signed Doug Baldwin to a four-year contract extension today

According to multiple reports, the full value is $46 million with $24.25 million guaranteed.

The Seahawks' front office is usually amenable to contract extensions for core players when they have one year left on their contracts and Baldwin fit the bill after exploding last season in racking up 14 touchdowns and 1,069 yards on 78 catches for Seattle. All those totals were career highs.

It was one of the most productive seasons ever by a Seahawks receiver. The 14 touchdowns are a team record. He's just the third receiver in franchise history to have at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in a season, joining Steve Largent and Joey Galloway - who each accomplished the feat twice. He amassed 484 yards and 11 touchdowns in a five-game stretch late in the season.

The only question now seems to be how much the Seahawks will alter their offense to reflect last year's passing success.

Fantasy owners will want watch his value -- which has been a bit low in spring mock drafts -- carefully this summer.
