Ryan: Geno Smith Will Start Rest Of Season
Following up on the ongoing story. ... According to CBSSports.com, head coach Rex Ryan has confirmed what has been suspected -- that Geno Smith will remain the starting quarterback for the Jets the rest of the season.
"I would anticipate that," Ryan told ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.
Smith is back on the job after Michael Vick took it over for a stint. The Jets are hoping the former can show an ability that would allow him to establish himself as the team's franchise quarterback. Hope is cheap. I suggest the Jets indulge themsevles. You, however, should not.
